Buy Black Authors was founded by Ogden Rattliff as an Instagram page in 2021 to offer a location to find books written by Black authors. We unapologetically offer only Black or African American or Black African or Afro Caribbean or any Afro Global authors.

We have one goal: to introduce the world to Black storytellers. And while we may be chasing a huge goal, we are confident. We know that our stories deserve to be read. By working together, we will succeed together.

In January 2022, we started the 12 FOR 12 Challenge, which challenges you to Read 12 Books by 12 Black Authors annually.
